What is the space station for? The space
station is the most important part of the mission. Once it is complete we will
be on our way to Mercury. Nothing can stop progress at this point. The space
station will look something like a wagon wheel and axle. The wheel will be
where most work is done. There will be one heavily shielded side always facing the
sun. The axle will be the start of a large rail system that will accelerate/decelerate
craft to & from Mercury.
The space station will, for the
most part be a garage for space craft. It will be the place where supplies from
earth are transferred to mercury until; we are divorced from earth. In later
posts I am going to go into more detail, with graphics and concept drawing.
